Whether it is just for the fun of playing a complex game that emulates reality in almost any way possible, or for the more responsible purpose of training to be the perfect pilot, an airplane simulator is always a fantastic tool. The most serious flight simulators offer a realistic flight time experience including weather conditions, fly in and fly out of real airports, a huge variety of aircraft to try out or what not.
ProFlightSimulator is today a leading airplane simulator, truly standing out from the great number of slight sims that are presently on the market.
Customization is what is so awesome about this piece of software. Just take a look at the numerous types of airplanes and helicopters you can choose from. Would you like to experience flying the 1903 Wright Flyer, would you rather fancy a helicopter, a Boeing 777, or is it a military jet that better suits your taste? Pick and try! The software includes around 20 planes for starters, but you later have the option to increase that number by an additional 100 models, for free.
There is much more about ProFlightSimulator that can make your experience feel very real and personal. You will be able to choose any type of weather and the stunning visual accuracy this airplane simulator provides will make your heart pound whenever you will fly through a rain cloud or catch the first glimpse of the lights of a big city. Moreover, it comes with real world examples of places around the globe. With this piece of software, you can fly almost anywhere in the world; you can fly on a whim over the Eiffel Tower or, why not, over your best friend’s house or even over your old school.
However, the true addictive power of this particular flight simulator might lie in its controls. All planes of the game have realistic 3D cockpit view and its controls model real-world instrument behavior, so that flying with ProFlightSimulator will be closely as challenging as real world flying. Of course, your job will be easier as you’ll have the keyboard to use for all controls, but you will still have to study and practice until you master maneuvers for takeoff and landing. With the option to record your flights, you can later playback and analyze them. Do not mind initial difficulties – practice and you will get a rare satisfaction, not gained with any other airplane simulator.
Sitting in a cockpit and being in charge of getting passengers safely to their desired destination is the dream of many children. This game will help you make your own dream come true. If you already train to become a pilot, the hours spent with simulated flights will prove amazing results later, in the real world cockpit.
This software is an airplane simulator that constantly keeps improving – and the new releases and updates come to you for free. All in all, if you wish to be thrown into the most breathtaking flight simulation of your life, give ProFlightSimulator a try!

Before even thinking about playing an airplane game, most people simply love the idea of being able to fly. Not being confined to the roads (in the case of cars) and traffic lights, in the air anything goes. In addition, pilots seem to get tons of respect from people for the mere fact that their efforts make sure millions of people get transported safely to their destinations.
So once people realize they want to fly, how do they go about accomplishing this feat? Some people might opt for the expensive route which is signing up for pilot school. Others may join the services to be taught for free in exchange for spending time protecting the country. The cheapest, easiest option is to download one of the many available airplane game options. These games have come a long way. Flight Simulator has been around for 20 years now, and used to be barely discernable on the color screen. Now it actually seems like you’re flying a real plane and in charge of a real crew and fleet in the air.
Another cool thing about the current airplane game market is how much you can customize. In Pro Flight Simulator, you can pretty much choose exactly what conditions you want to fly in. You can also choose which exact plane you want to fly. With this kind of customization, pretty much anything is possible in the realm of flying through the air. All your wildest dreams of travelling the world can come true. This particular game (Pro Flight Simulator) includes real world examples of places in the world. You can fly by the empire state building, sweep over the Eiffel Tower, and even check out the Sphinx in Egypt.
Controls in these games has also improved over the years. It used to be pretty hard to move the plane to where you wanted to go. Now you’re pretty much using your keyboard to control the exact mechanisms that are inside the plane while it is in operation. MS is also trying to make a top quality product, and the two companies are pretty much competing to get the main market share. One cool thing about Pro Flight Simulator is that you can play the game and get your money back if it sucks. I don’t think you have that option with Flight Simulator X which is the other competing airplane game.

Having been a big fan of Microsoft Flight Simulator X for years now, I never really thought about venturing out and trying a different airplane simulator game. There were banners EVERYWHERE for Pro Flight Simulator so I figured I’d use my expertise to see how the game stacks up.
You get the option between ordering the DVDs and downloading the files. I’m much more of the downloading type, but I can understand why someone might opt for the DVDs (it is a lot to download).
Anyway, after installing the game and adding all the flight/scenery addons, I was thrust into the most realistic airplane simulator game I’ve ever experienced. Even with years of Flight Simulator X under my belt, it took some getting used to the realistic controls. I have to say though, even though it may be difficult at first, the satisfaction of being able to fly over 120 super realistic planes is unmatched by any other simulator. You can even fly in and out of your local airport for added personalization.
I haven’t tried any of the helicopters or military jets, but I plan on trying absolutely everything in this game. It really makes you want to learn how to fly absolutely every aircraft you can possibly get your hands on!
A word of warning: if you are looking for a simplistic game to spend 20 minutes playing every few days, you might have to look elsewhere. This is more for the type who really wants to get good at flying planes and possibly becoming a real life pilot in the future.
If the above description fits you, I fully recommend Pro Flight Simulator. Enjoy, guys.
